Digital Operations: What is the book about?

In response to many requests for clarification, this blog will provide an overview of the Digital Operations (DigOps) model that has recently been registered and received a provisional patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The model provides an approach to help organizations strategically position themselves in our current econoly and create enterprise workflow in the Industry 4.0 economy that leverages digital products and services.

The DigOps model not only drives desired business results, but it breaks down the organizational walls and creates a system that promotes diversity and inclusion. This is key to creating a learning organization resulting in great people, customer, and societial results.

The book is divided into four parts:

  1. Jungle Preparation - this helps organizations understand the cost of investing in the DigOps model. It isn't a monetary cost; actually, the use of this model is cheaper than relying on industry "experts." The two main costs to consider are 1. courage and 2. understanding corporate business drivers in today's economy.

  2. Jungle Journey - takes readers through the DigOps Compass for strategic positioning in today's economy and the DigOps Workflow to support enterprise operational effectiveness and inclusion. These set the foundations of the DigOps model.

  3. Journey Disciplines - describes and deep dives into the Key Industry 4.0 Disciplines. These disciplines are necessary to identify and build within the organization to implement the DigOps model.
